About Us

Greg Fritz

My name is Greg Fritz and I am president and founder of the All American Husky Rescue, Inc. - a non-profit organization. Now that I am retired from 22 years of service in the US Army, I am able to work with the dogs full time.

We currently have 30 huskies. They vary in age, size and temperament, but each one was rescued from an over crowded shelter, other rescues, or from individuals who could no longer care for them.

Our Philosophy

We believe in promoting responsible pet ownership and do so by having all of the dogs spayed or neutered. It is also our belief that exercise is vital to their overall well being and it is our utmost concern that they are fostered in a safe environment that allows them ample exercise.

Currently our entire nonprofit organization is run on donations and grants. We are in desperate need of funds to construct a new exercise wheel for the dogs. Also the yearly budget is quite expensive and any and all monetary contributions are greatly appreciated.

Checks should be made payable to:

and mailed to:

and any support you can give to

2009 Fur Rondy Sled Rides @ Westchester Lagoon

Westchester Lagoon Dog Sled Rides was the biggest and best fund raiser in the history of the kennel.

We would like to thank EVERYBODY that participated, be it time the volunteers happily put in, or the riders; those who donated money, dog food, and pictures.

A special thank you to Kathleen Raynor and her children, for staying after their ride and helping with watering and tending to the dogs. This was after her third attempt to get a sled ride from us! Kathleen virtually adopted Woody for the 2009/2010 season.

Two of our adoptable dogs were taken home for a one-week try-out: thank you Patsy and Tony. So far so good. We hope these champs (PD and Shilo) will be successfully adopted as pets.

Our only bitter sweet report is our 1989 F250 dog truck made through ten days of Fur Rondy, and fourteen trips to Anchorage before it finally died today, Wednesday, March 11, 2009, on my way to give sled rides at the Chugiak Trails. Primary report sounds grim! Could be a piston or rings. Since I have no mechanic skills whatsoever, Midas is my truck doctor; so now we wait!

Once again, I want to personally thank all of you for your generous donations and kindness in making this such a successful event. Even with today's economic crisis everyone that visited us contributed to our cause of rescuing and caring for these cast-away dogs.

May God Bless You All With Happy Trails,

Greg Fritz
